DanVegasNews Is Making A Change (Important Account Change)

I’m making a change to DanVegasNews and it’s a simple one - we are changing our name to DanvilleAreaNews.

So, from now on you will get my emails from the email address:

Here is the reason for the change:

Around New Years I submitted trademark applications with the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the name DanVegasNews.

I got a quick acceptance from the State Corporation Commission, but it took months to get any reply from the USPTO.

I finally got one last week and to my surprise they rejected it, with a 90 day appeal period, which can be extended with payment of a fee.

I am now getting emails from law firms across the company offering to help appeal the decision, but I fear it will take a lot of time and money to try to get this decision reversed.

Instead of doing all that, I’m just going to change the name of this email list to DanvilleAreaNews.

We have registered the domain name DanvilleAreaNews.com and this switch over will take place over the next 24 hours.
